BEACH Days: Boston Economics and Computing Hub Workshops

Part of the goal of BEACH is to bring together researchers working in Economics and Computing in the Boston area across disciplines and institutions together. To this end, we hold semesterly workshops called "BEACH Day"s on focused topics in Economics and Computing. See previous and future workshops below. Upcoming BEACH Day: April 4, 2025


Join us for our first BEACH Day this April 4! Our topic will be Behavioral Models in EconCS at Boston University, organized by Kira Goldner and Divyarthi Mohan. The schedule will include a mixture of hour-long bootcamp-style talks and shorter half-hour talks on recent work. Breakfast and lunch will be served.

Registration is free but required. To ensure we have appropriate space and food, please register as soon as possible at this link, but no later than March 28. (If this deadline is a limiting factor, please contact the organizers.)

Location: The workshop will take place in room 1101 (11th floor) at the BU Duan Center for Computing & Data Sciences, 665 Commonwealth Ave, Boston, MA 02215.

Getting Here: We strongly recommend you do not drive. Taking the T: our stop is the BU East stop on the B green line, or it's a 10 minute walk from Kenmore (green line). The nearest Bluebike station is at Silver Way and Commonwealth Ave (3 minute walk). The only public parking at BU is all the way at the other end of campus (20 minutes walk) at Agganis Arena and Langsam Garage. Street parking will also likely be very difficult to find (paid, 4 hours max) due to undergraduate visit days.
